While I was pregnant with my first son I obsessed about being the best parent I could possibly be and with no close friends or family members with babies or small children that I could turn to for advice I read voraciously, every baby book and parenting magazine I could get my hands on. Some of the books were almost Nazi in their approach to babies routines and the magazines had one purpose only - sell, sell, sell! The pages seemed to pulsate with essential products and although I can put it all down to hormones now, I was certain that to deprive my, as yet, unborn child of any of these would surely result in Social Services paying me a visit!. As a result I overspent and ended up with a mountain of unused items as I deemed it necessary to have everything possible for any eventuality.

The pretend barbecue will be ideal for emulating daddy supposing the sun stays out long enough to light the real barbi. The little stall with add ons like wooden fruit and veg, scales and a till would certainly have been something which I would have coveted as a child. Not one for cars I think that my little guy would be more than happy with any of these gifts.
